I was saddened this morning to read that Stan Winston, the renowned makeup, creature- and visual-effects wizard whose memorable work on “Aliens,”, “Predator”, the Terminator movies and “Jurassic Park” earned him four Academy Awards, has died. He was 62.
He had done practical work for “Iron Man” and was currently working on the new Terminator movie.
Stan Winston was a makeup artist that I greatly admired. I did a lot of research on him and his work when I made the Predator and Alien costumes. I’m currently in the process of making a Terminator Endoskeleton but that is going to be along project with the baby coming.
Romero in Charlotte

What I would give just to have a picture of myself with Romero. These just happen to be the days the baby is expected so we will likely be spending September 19-21 in the hospital. We are still buying tickets to the one-on-one with Romero anyway just in case. Unless the baby is coming through I should be able to sneak away for this.
