BLET (Basic Law Enforcement Training, aka. Police Academy, aka. Rookie School) graduation was on the the 15th. The ceremony was nice, we had some prestigious guest speakers including a local chief of police. I was elected Class Spokesman and I had to give a speech about what BLET meant to us and what we got out of the program. I also won an award. I got the “Top Gun” trophy for having the highest shooting scores in my class.

It was a great ending to a long program. Some of my favorite instructors showed up to see us graduate and I’m going to miss them as well as my classmates, which I grew very close to over the last nine months.

Our poor Elvis died over the weekend. He was 16 and had diabetes. We gave him insulin injections for nearly two years but eventually it got the the better of him.

Elvis was a great cat and we are going to miss him.

I was excited to hear they are might be making a MacGyver movie, I just hope they get Richard Dean Anderson.

MacGyver did it all. He was my childhood hero and inspiration for the awesome mullet I sported in elementary school.
