Christine and I flew to Buffalo NY for the Kraft-Murphy wedding.
After missed layovers, re-routed connectors, hotels, bumming rides, and experimenting to see just how little sleep one can get and still function; we are back.
Our friends Kate and Mike were kind enough to go out of their way and haul us around town. Mike gave use the quick Buffalo tour.
Buffalo was nicer than I had expected, really down to earth people and the place smelled like Cheerios because of the General Mills plant outside of downtown. The smell was awesome, as were the Tim Horton Donuts (something we really need in Charlotte).
I was impressed with what NY, out side of NYC, has to offer. The laws may be a little crude but there are some really good people up there. I did see why so many New Yorkers are defecting to the more civilized south. : )
Unfortunately we missed Niagara Falls, but we did catch Anchor Bar, which was where the Buffalo Wing was invented in the 60s. I ate an impressive amount of wings and would be willing to go back to Buffalo just for another round of them.
The wedding was held at the Botanical Gardens and was beautiful. We all had a great time. Armed with my Canon 350D and an L series 70-200 f2.8 and an 18-55 lens, I got to be the photographer.
So, congratulations Audrey and Jimmy!
Here’s to a long and happy future.

Most of us at Anchor Bar.
A big sloppy “Thanks” goes out to Madeline & Geoff for dinner. Thanks guys!
