You may or may not have see on the news that “Everything old is indeed new again, including fears that prolonged exposure to loud music from portable-media devices can lead to significant hearing loss. Northwestern University audiologist Dean Garstecki has issued a warning to the roughly 37 million iPod owners to turn down their tunes — or else.”
Read the un-hyped article here, it may not be as exciting as the TV news makes it out to be.
Don’t worry we read this article long before it was “news”. A co-worker and I were just discussing how it was possible that people could possibly listen to their iPods at 60% without their ears bleeding and head exploding.
Christine and I both have the safer silicone earphones recommended in the article, and max the volume out at about 40%.
Christine and I both got new iPods for Christmas. I thought that was worth recording in the corny way that a lot of married people document things, a Christmas tree ornament.
How to make an iPod ornament:
1.Buy iPod shell on eBay
2.Print picture and glue in place
3.Add green and hang on tree.
Total cost: $8.00
