Star Wars ROTS Nov 1

It’s official Star Wars Revenge of the Sith will be released on DVD November 1st.

The movie will be released on a two-disc set that includes a full-length documentary, two featurettes and a 15-part collection of web documentaries. It will also include a playable demo of the Xbox version of Battlefront II.

PostSecret

Frank Warren initially started this as an interactive art piece. PostSecret is a blog in which people anonymously submit their secrets on handmade 4 x 6 inch postcards via snail mail. Although some of the submissions are very humorous, others are very sad and some politically incorrect. Not only does the work evoke strong sentiments or even memories from the audience, but it also provides an outlet for those that feel the need to free themselves from their secrets. New secrets are posted every Sunday.
So there you go vent away. I bet someone there has the same secret as you. Send yours and feel you might feel better.

(no, card above is not mine, can you guess which one is?)

Stewart has developed a skin condition on his back. While he heals he has to wear one of those lampshade collar deals around his neck. He is less than impressed.

Here Stewart is staring me down. Christine and I suspect he’s trying to recruit the other cats in his plan to overthrow us.

7.4.05

Well, It’s a good thing I practiced for the 4th this year. If I hadn’t I wouldn’t have any pics of fireworks. It rained all afternoon and into the night. I’m not about to drag my new camera out in the rain. So, no Forth of July pics this year.

Practicing for the 4th

I’ve never photographed fireworks before so I wanted to get a little practice in before the 4th. Luckily Harrisburg had an early 4th of July firework show this evening.

We didn’t get the best seats. We thought the fireworks would be coming from the northwest but when the fireworks started we realized they would be coming from the west. Unfortunately because of this some trees ended up obscuring our view. Luckily, enough of the fireworks went above the trees that I was able to get some nice shots.

I didn’t shoot anything in the foreground because this was just practice. On the 4th I’ll have something in the foreground to make the pictures more interesting.
I shot all of these at 28mm-40mm (35mm equivalent), 2”-2.5”, f16
You’d think you’d need a lower f stop but you don’t.

Here is a bright shot where you can see the trees
